Today's News: Improved "Process Logs" Output coming in 7.2.16
We have made several improvements to the flexibility of the output of the "process logs" action in Sawmill, which is typically used to convert any log data to comma-separated format. With the new options, the delimiter is customizable, the header is optional, and the output date/time format is customizable. By specifying tabs between fields, a timestamp in the format "YYYY-MM-DD HH-MM-SS", and no header, this makes Sawmill's output compatible with BCP. One of our customers is using this to quickly import their Windows Media, Flash Media, Quicktime Streaming Server, and other media logs into their Microsoft SQL Server database, using Sawmill for the log conversion stage, and FreeBCP for the import. This new functionality will be available in Sawmill 7.2.16. Read past days' news.
